Well done!

Another great story. G.R. Cooper seamlessly transitioned from a Space Saga to a Fantasy Saga. This is a great addition to the litRPG Genre and I highly recommend this book. The pace of the book was fast and the story kept me wanting to keep reading. Characters were well developed and the MC didn't seem overpowered nor did I feel the MC was given anything too easily. There was plenty of Skill/Leveling/Crafting to sate the gamer in me as well.
If I had to pick a Con, it would be that the story seemed short. That being said, I look forward to seeing where the author takes us in the next one.

Little dip, then a rebound

Back to the good stuff. I liked this one even more than the first two. There's still the specter of book three hovering the back of my mind, but I could learn to live with that whole whatsadoodle as a kind of hub world analogue. Maybe. Probably. It just makes the whole thing feel a little arbitrary, but whatever.
Taken by itself, as it should be, this one is great. It feels short, but that might just be because I wanted more. Liked the progression system. Liked the characters. Liked the setting. The dialogue was a little weird, but nothing to write home about. A little comma overload, a few lines that read like Shatner or Walken, no big deal. I will say that a couple of the characters start spewing big chunks of backstory/them feelz. That threw me off. Seemed a little rushed. A little smooshed in there. Otherwise, the series is back on my insta-buy list. Keep the phat lootz coming.

Some disappointment

A bit of a disappointment, in some ways. The main character seems "less of himself" after the transition, oblivious to the differences within his new world and often naive, often blundering into situations which, fortunately for the MC, end in something less than disaster.
The MC was both logical and organized within the first 3 books -- far less so in this one. Being a former project manager and manager of project managers, his performance disappoints...
The book was fairly slow-paced and a bit short. I had expected some time for his acclimation, but he was still somewhat short of that acclimation by book's end.
Beyond the "MC disappointment" and slow-pace, the book was well-written and the characters, for the most part, were engaging.
I will continue to read this series, but expect more depth, both in story and in the main character...
