Dr. Philip Tate earned B.S. degrees in both mathematics and zoology and an M.S. in ecology from San Diego State University. He earned his doctorate in biological education from Idaho State University. Phil has taught anatomy and physiology to all levels of students: nursing and allied health, physical education, and biology majors.

Small pictures

I disliked this digital copy. It was not formatted for a kindle, so you were constantly having to zoom in and out in order to read and find the information necessary. With so many pictures, it's extremely difficult in class to utilize this version and keep up. Had I known, I would have purchased the hardback copy.

Good textbook, great pictures and diagrams

This textbook does not try to impress you with being overly wordy. For most things it is very straight to the point and has wonderful diagrams that make it easy to learn from. If you're a broke college student like me, the previous edition is essentially the same and is much, much cheaper - you'd be looking at under ten including shipping. I have looked at both the editions side by side and there are very few changes, however the page numbers are off by just a few - new edition a diagram may be on Pp. 87 where the old one it may be Pp. 84. All in all this is a great textbook and I prefer it much over many other A&P books I've used previously.

I actually found this book easy to read. It has been 5 years since I attended a college class. Definitely never took any science classes like A&P. I found this book pretty easy to read and understand. I would recommend it.
