This was an ok book. First, you cannot look inside before you buy but I bought it anyway. It has some good information but there are a lot better books out there on this subject. I thought it way over priced, so I returned it.

Very good book. I have several fermentation books, but realized when I read this book that if one were serious about fermentation and all its benefits, THIS is the FIRST book to START with. I say that because of the easy way it is presented. Reading this, highlighting, taking notes and really understanding this at a deep level, truly helped me better understand the other books I owned. My husband and I have already noticed favorable benefits as a result of actually implementing cultured vegetables and kefir. Eventually, we'll move on to Kombucha and Sourdough bread. I could go on and on about how we've benefited, but point is, I know that ferments will be a regular part of our lives. Had to give it four stars because I do think the book is overpriced. Just so you know, this review is based on my own opinion and experience and I'm wired to learn it intellectually in order for it to reach my nervous system along with experiential knowledge. As far as I'm concerned, fermentation is just one of life's best kept secrets to vibrant health. Again, just my opinion.
