A New Concept of Price Action

Most of the books that I have read on price action focus on things like pennants, flags, wedges, and related topics. This book is different. It focuses on "value areas". I've not heard that term before, but now that I've read the book I will incorporate the concept into my trading. In testing, I find it a very good tool. I would not use it as a stand-alone tool; instead, I'll use it along with candlesticks, volume, trend lines, higher-hies, lower-lows, etc.
At keys points in the book, the author suggests that the reader practice the teachings of the previous chapter. One suggestion I have for future editions is to display a chart with the ticker symbol plus the date and time but without the value areas marked. Then the reader could view the chart on his or her software, practice drawing the value areas, then turn the page of the book to see how the author drew the value areas.
If a person wants to use price action in his or her trading, I recommend this book.

Puts the "Why" in Price Action

There are tons of books out there on technical analysis that discuss support/resistance, trends, consolidations, trend reversals, etc. However, none have helped me understand the fundamental reasons for those concepts until I read this book.
Price Action Breakdown starts with the "why". Why does price action move the way that it does? This book explains these fundamental reasons and perhaps more importantly.. shows you what to specifically look for. If you are new to trading or even a seasoned trader looking for a new perspective on price action.. I highly recommend this book.

I thought this book had some nice price action concepts I have not seen in other books. Lots about support and resistance and value areas. The one thing I would like to have seen is bigger charts, on some of the explanations the numbers are hard to read. Overall I gave it a 4 because I did learn somethings that I have not read in other books.
